I’m now signed on to Pinterest, one of the fastest growing global social media sites today. I must say, I’m hooked! Having a virtual “tackboard” is a fun inspirational tool. It’s a way to connect and it’s convenient – especially for designers and individuals in the creative field like myself. March 26, 2012: A Promise To Peru website is up – apromisetoperu.com! I’ve been working hard – designing, writing/managing posts and keeping up with the social media feeds (Facebook, Twitter). Next is organizing my first fundraising event! Almost a year ago now, my sister and I went to Peru to volunteer our time. My sister, a physician, provided medical services to Peruvians in rural areas near Cusco. I organized arts & craft stations outside the medical clinics for the children. The kids created extraordinary art while they waited to be seen by the doctors. Below are two examples of what the kids worked on!
