October 13, 2012:  I just watched Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child. It’s an absolutely inspiring documentary. Some of Basquiat’s paintings remind me of my pastel drawings, the energy of the works specifically. You can find the movie on netflix -  a must watch.

May 24, 2012:  I’m now signed on to Pinterest, one of the fastest growing global social media sites today. I must say, I’m hooked! Having a virtual “tackboard”  is a fun inspirational tool. It’s a way to connect and it’s convenient – especially for designers and individuals in the creative field like myself. Mashable has an interesting post on how Pinterest has effected web design trends, take a look.

March 26, 2012:  A Promise To Peru website is up – apromisetoperu.com! I’ve been working hard – designing, writing/managing posts and keeping up with the social media feeds (Facebook, Twitter). Next is organizing my first fundraising event! Almost a year ago now, my sister and I went to Peru to volunteer our time. My sister, a physician, provided medical services to Peruvians in rural areas near Cusco. I organized arts & craft stations outside the medical clinics for the children.
