January 4, 2010:  A series of photos taken of my latest work - in progression (oil on canvas).  The final is to come. Its not far off from the last photo. I’m definitely using more subdued colors in this piece and I can’t tell you why, it just happened that way. Maybe I need some new paint! Enjoy!

January 2, 2010:  A little press from Philadelphia here.

December 16, 2009:  I’m currently working on new oil paintings. Feels really good! Some will be paintings based on my pastel drawing of late. Pictures of works in progress to come…

October 19, 2009:  As promised, you can view Lisa O’Callaghan art work here. My Favorite pieces are the Bat collage and the Jelly Fish ink drawing.  I love the sense of bright color, energy and composition in “Bat”.  The line quality in “Jelly Fish” is fascinating. Enjoy!

May 3, 2009:  Recently my artwork was reviewed by Lisa O’Callaghan - A High School student from The Sewanhaka Central School District. I’m extremely honored that she has chosen to review my art series. While her classmates were choosing to report on Picasso and Mondrian, (which for obvious reasons are great choices) Lisa had a different idea in mind. Lisa was thinking “outside the box” and selected me, an emerging NYC artist.  This  beyond question, shows her creative intuitions.  Making connections with up and coming  artists will ultimately help advance her own artistic aspirations and ventures. This in my opinion was a smart, strategic  decision. I would like to thank Lisa again for her wonderful art review and biographical report.  Please check back  in a few weeks to see Lisa  O’Callaghan’s own artwork posted here.

March 4, 2009:  I started attending open drawing classes. I love it. I’m hoping this will be inspiration for a new series I’m thinking about showing in late summer. The overarching idea is based on “body types/sizes” and of course, color. more to come…

January 28, 2009:  Currently I’m looking for creative, contract graphic design work. Please visit the design section to view my most current work. Inquiries welcome.

January 1, 2009:  I’m always seeking artistic inspiration. My last art series was a collaborative piece proposed by a friend of mine, Keith Malone. In short, the idea was to create drawings based on my impressions of text messages sent from Keith to his girlfriend. We wanted to record specific moments in time. These days its so easy to forget all the little/special correspondences we have with one another. Most of us are engrossed in communication stimulus and too often we forget to embrace the meaning of what is being said. The drawings were bound as a book and given to Bess as a birthday present. Keith doesn’t know this yet, but I want to elaborate on this concept. Be on the look out for phase 2 of this project…
